Janet Ahlberg
The illustrator wife of the British Author Allan Ahlberg who was responsible for over a hundred children's book, although she did not illustrate them all. She met her future husband when they at Sunderland Teacher Training College together. They were married in 1969 and Janet went on to illustrate many of his most popular books. Sadly, she was to die in 1994.
Among their most desirable books are 4 in 1984 in which they collaborated with Andre Amstutz (Clowning About, Monster Munch, The Good Old Dolls, Rent - a Robot) and "The Jolly Postman" published in1986 by Heineman.
