Val Biro
Creator of the "Gumdrop" series telling the adventures and mishaps of an vintage Austin motor car. He was born in Hungary in 1921 and came to Britain to study art. His first book, "Bumpy's Holiday" was published in 1943 by Sylvan Press remains his most collectible.
