Honor C Appleton
Although she was an illustrator for the "Blackies Annual", she is probably best remembered by the fans of the "Josephine" books for the wonderful illustrations that brought to life the stories written by the author Mrs H C Craddock. She also deserves a special mention for her lovely pictures for the Hans Christian Anderson's "Fairy Tales"book, which she illustrated for the publishers Nelson in 1920.
