Louisa May Alcott

Born in Pennsylvannia (USA) in 1832, she moved to Boston where she spent the rest of her life. Although she is best remembered for her novel "Little Women" which was published in 1868, her first novel was "Moods" which was published two years before in 1866. She went on to write many successful books before she finally died in 1888. One of her most sort after books, apart from the obvious, is "Good Wives" published in 1869 by Sampson Low.
