Allan Ahlberg
The author half of the husband and wife team responsible for over a hundred children's book. He met his future wife, Janet when they at Sunderland Teacher Training College together. They were married in 1969 and Janet went on to illustrate many of his most popular books. Sadly, she was to die in 1994.
Among their most desirable books are four in 1984 on which they collaborated with Andre Amstutz (Clowning About, Monster Munch, The Good Old Dolls, Rent - a Robot) and "The Jolly Postman" published in1986 by Heineman.
