Richard Adams

A British author who was born in Berkshire, in 1920. He worked for the Civil Service up until 1974. Although he has written over half a dozen books, his most famous book is "Watership Down" for which he won the Guardian Award and the Carnegie Medal. He went on to become the President of the Royal Society for the prevention of cruelty towards animals (RSPCA).
