IrfanView is a very fast, small, compact and innovative graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista. It supports a wide range of file formats and comes with a thumbnail /preview option. That is not all, among its bag of tricks it can enable you to make a slideshow and then burn it to CD (or save it as EXE/SCR). It has a Paint option that allows too draw lines, circles, arrows, straighten image etc. and manipulate the image with Effects such as Sharpen, Blur, Adobe 8BF, Filter Factory, Filters Unlimited, etc. On top of this it supports Adobe Photoshop Filters. It also has a built in multiplayer function and allows you to send your images as emails. These are just a handful of its functions and the joy of software like this is discovering what else it does. I am sure you will not be disappointed .
This is such a swiss army knife type of program that you soon wonder how you managed without.
IrfanView is provided as freeware, but only for private, non-commercial use (that means at home). It is also free for educational use (schools, universities and libraries) and for use in charity or humanitarian organisations.

The developer Irfan Skiljan is only asking 12 us Dollars and when you realise how much time and money it will save you, well I do not believe you will have to think twice. The developer has said that he will regard any payment as an incentive to add even more functions and increase the program's quality.
